Today as I began to retrieve my post from disk the password was not excepted so I checked the for accuracy and I was correct. So after several attempts my disks delivers a message “For your security all of your data has been erased”. This is where I keep both books I am working on and a lot of backup information. So after a quick prayer I remembered my other place for data. Even though panic knocked on the door I did not let it in.
The patient mind is a crown jewel to be watched and protected. It is that valuable place that should be guarded with the vigilance reserved for heads of state and a nation’s top secrets combined. The patient mind smooths rough patches and eliminates confusion by deflecting distractions. Daily training is necessary to maintain this place that will be besieged with common and uncommon diversions. The patient mind anticipates distractions and prepares itself for impact then sees the corresponding reaction.
Another persons crisis is not your “to do list”. Included in this statement are those closest to you. Life happens at the speed of sound while the patient mind operates like a person in zero gravity. See every surprise as a present to investigate even before a thank you is offered. Focus completely on achievable goals and allow issues out of your control to trickle off of your back. There are plenty of times that diversion interrupts assignments but it shall not destroy your peace. One method that helps calm the mind and usher in the spirit of patience is to repeat the statement, “God is perfect”. His perfection comes in ways unimaginable, so practice a patient mind with all of them.
