Thrive to Survive!
by
Thriving is flourishing in the correct environment. Thrive can mean to be fulfilled or developed successfully. It also is to flourish in an environment.
Surviving is getting through a tough situation and coming out on the other side.
Thrive to Survive seems backwards because after you survive a circumstance, you want to thrive to be better. It is wise to set yourself in a peaceful, joyous environment before the test. If not you will have trouble surviving the tests. The Kingdom of God is similar. You should establish your relationship with God before the situation occurs.
- Create a prayer life with God.
- Set times to converse with your heavenly Father.
- Orally out loud. Communicate with him on daily decisions.
- Thank him often for the current love and mercy he shows you.
- Create Kingdom living in your habits.
- Make it your business to remove negative influences.
- Promote God thoughts among your friends.
- Bless people regularly with your thoughts, words and deeds.
- Focus on God.
- Reduce yourself contemplating.
- Ask God what he wants, then go carry out the instructions.
- Open your mind to the God way of doing things.
If you set your course to the thriving, the impact of negative situations will be diminished. Thrive to Survive takes meditation and focus. The reward is twofold. You will enjoy your life more on a regular basis. And when low moments happen, you will be full of love and contentment to overcome the obstacle.
1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
3He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
Psalm 23 shows us that God has us flourishing before the trouble. We are thriving like plants by the water until we walk into trouble. He restores our soul. Always replenishing us.

Stress Your Mountain
Put pressure on your prayer
by
Life puts pressure on you that feels like a Mountain. You have to determine to stress the mountain of pressure if you want it to crumble. Without putting pressure on the mountain it will not be removed from you.
There are many situations that put stress on us. We believe these problems are insurmountable. Since God does not put more on us than we can bear. There has to be a way to remove and handle these seemingly unmovable challenges.
Speak the Word
The word of God is powerful to the pulling down of strongholds(2 Cor. 10v4). Therefore we must speak directly to the problem. Do not be afraid to put stress on the actual problem.
Pray earnestly
The prayers of the righteous man available much(James 5v16). Pray to God that He helps you see the true underlying core root of the problem. Pray to God for a peaceful solution. Be thankful to God that He reveals your position in the fight. Pray that you have the strength to do the instructions that come from prayer.
Call a fast
Some things are only removed by prayer and supplication(fasting)(Mark 9 v 28-29). Calling a fast removes an object or action that is special to you. It may be possible that you have made this thing a God or idol in your life. And every time this thing comes in your mind, sacrifice it to the Lord, letting Him know that you are serious about putting stress on your mountain
Your faith makes you whole. (Luke 8 v 48) With the proper Word(scriptures), prayer and fasting the mountain will have significant stress. With patience the stress fractures in the mountain will cause it to be removed from you. The last step is to believe in your heart that these things are so.
Stress your mountain and your stress will be relieved. Stress your mountain and it will be removed from you. Be patient while you are dominating your mountain.
When the thing is stronger than you
Jehovah Sabaoth
by
We all come to a place where we face a problem that seems bigger than our capacity to win. This place is especially difficult for leaders. Leaders train themselves to master difficult situations. Life will throw massive problems at you and God grins and says “is thing stronger than ME?”
David demonstrates how to call on God in a heavy situation. He also directs us on what part of God’s character to call on.
Jehovah Sabaoth.
Here is the passage as he is standing toe to toe with Goliath.
45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
…
47 And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands
When the thing seems stronger than you have to call on the God who is stronger than anything. Jehovah Sabaoth, (the Lord God of Hosts or the Lord God of The Angel Armies). Send the clarion call and God and all His Army of Angels will come and fight your battles.
Psalm 24
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle
When you call on Jehovah Sabaoth, the Gates and the Doors have to be lifted up to let all the Heavenly Help come down and fight your Battle.
Psalm 89 v 6-8
6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
8 O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
The thing you are dealing with may scare you and degrade you. Put your Confidence in God. Place your confidence in the God of all things. Our God is ready to descend on your problems with a fury that can not be contained or defeated.
James 5
4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth
The book of James says this power and authority is not only available for leaders but the same God is watching over laborers in the field too. This is awesome because He assures everyone that believes on Him and calls Jehovah Sabaoth will be heard. God hears you and He sees you and He will send His Angel Armies to protect you and fight your Battles.

My Fun
Fun please come down out the tree
by
My fun is in the tree
Won’t you help me
my fun isn’t going to help me
could you help me find my fun
it is up so high
my fun oh, return my fun
Can you climb up there and get my fun out
the tree can not throw something far
My fun is in the tree
it is too high
how long will it take so I can fly
So much fun in one little thing
so much fun
something simple
Can bring
Are you tall? are you strong?
do you have enough wisdom?
Where can we go?
how can we climb
Why is the tree too high
Why can’t I figure it out
What can we put together maybe something big this tall
maybe something for everyone
OK pray, you say
pray to God
God send me… please send wind so that my fun can come out of the tree
I believe in you
today is Windy
Will it take some hours
Or maybe with one blast you can save me
and I can praise you
I will praise you for the victory because Victory is already mine
The Excellency of Patience
by
The Excellency of Patience is great, because it gives you peace of mind. The peace of mind comes from knowing that the Father is in control. The control from the Father allows calm endurance. Patience is excellent because it purifies the motive. These thoughts are driven by the following verses.
James 1:1-8King James Version (KJV)
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Why would James use her or a female voice to personify patience?
James personifies patience as a woman or a female voice because, a male voice may project too much aggression. Patience doesn’t require strength and aggression it requires you to focus and listen.
After this test you will want nothing.
God testing your faith is excellent because, after the test He gives you great rewards. These rewards are not just in riches, but also in wisdom. God says if you lack wisdom and ask Him, it (wisdom) will be given to you. But you must have faith and not waver like the sea.
“Faith is the accelerant.” Joel Osteen
Since faith is an accelerant when it is tried it accelerates patience. So the traditional tenants of patience do not apply as you work your faith. Faith can speed the process of being perfect and wanting nothing. Faith can be an accelerant in anything, the acceleration comes from you believing in the father and trusting in his word. In this faith do not waver in asking Him, if you waver you will be lost, driven out, and tossed away according to James 1 verse 6.
Proper faith and believing causes you not to waver. This patience leads you on an excellent new path. God leads you to places you have never encountered that will give joy while testing your faith.
Realized Potential
by
The first of the year brings excitement of new possibilities
New possibilities are mingled with potential that is placed in you. We all have potential to reach our wildest dreams. Many years we write these list that are well meaning and generally are obtainable. The challenge is follow through and completion. Completion takes focus when you are months into the New Year.
Make a dramatic change
This says to you and those around you that you are serious this time. Living in consciousness not in emotions. Emotion causes you to doubt your ability to change because it convinces you that begin stuck in the past will satisfy you better than the future will.
Hosea 2:23
And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
God always has a change of heart for his people whether they were with him or not if God can have mercy on those which were not his people, then having mercy on the new you and giving it a chance should not be something to question.
Write the plan
Write the plans you know it now. Do not rest or rely on your previous directives to shape your new future. When you write take the limits off of the potential God placed in you. Increase your awareness of your own needs. Do not let others steer you in the wrong direction away from your plans.
Be relentless in your pursuit of greatness
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Why are you doing part of the work and expecting full results? In order to realize your potential, you have to exhaust all possibilities. Leave no stone unturned. Knock on the extra doors in search of your dreams. Realize you are the truth.
Your Kingdom Shall be Abundant
The Lord hears your trouble
by
The Lord hears you when trouble comes and He comes to your defense. God sends help from Heaven and strengthens you from within. God will remember your offerings. This means what you offered willingly, He will replenish abundantly.
Psalm 20
20 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
9 Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.
A mature believer knows how to ask properly. Asking properly means asking according to Gods words. The latter section of Psalm 20 v 4 says and “fulfill ALL thy counsel.” God wants you to have everything you desire. He saves you from trouble. He saves you not according to your knowledge and your strength but according to, “the saving strength of His right hand.” What this says is that God will save you with the same strength that He used to save Jesus. Hallelujah.
Now after this declaration of how God saves you the scripture gives you a reminder of the type of “God centered” approach each believer should possess.
“Some trust in Chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord”
Even when He blesses you with things and gives you favor you must remember, it is not the things that are the blessings but it is He who Blesses that you crave.
Your new situation is so good that you do not even remember the old problems.
You shall not even hear crying or weeping, only joy. Your new ideas will not die. What you build on this earth you shall inhabit and no one shall take it away from you. You will enjoy all of your fruit. No more mean people coming in and destroying you. People can’t hold you down or put you out. They do not have the power to take what is rightfully yours.
Your new ideas will not die.
There are several themes that God mentions over and over again. One is what you build no man shall take. They cannot take your houses, they cannot take your business, and they will not inhabit what you build. Only you and your children shall eat the fruit of your labor.
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.
In Psalm 20 the Lord hears you in trouble but in In Isaiah 65 v 24 the scripture gives a stronger more intense relationship with the Father. God knows before you even call, He will answer. And while you are yet speaking He hears you. What a glorious life to live in the Kingdom of God. One explanation of the Kingdom of God is: The place of constant communication with the throne of God. Stop worrying and start praying to live in the place of full blessing and favor. Joy and answers are your reward.
